Tiling is one of our specialities. It pays to do the job properly when it comes to tiling, so that the result is good. The preparation is no less important than the tiling itself if the outcome is to be the best it can be.

How the job is prepared
Before tiling begins we measure the room so that the tile layout works out as well as possible. Floors may need to be levelled if the substrate is not straight or flat enough. The surface must be clean before primer is applied and the underfloor heating turned off. In bathrooms and other wet rooms a rubber membrane must be applied and an expansion strip placed where needed before tiling begins.
A finish built to last
Grouting begins once the tile adhesive has hardened. After grouting and cleaning the tiles, silicone is applied to expansion joints to protect against fungus and mould. The tiling done by staff at Ari Oddsson ehf. is carried out to the highest standards and we stand behind our work.
